Read between the lines

I love Easter Eggs. No, I'm not talking about the pastel plastic things with candy scattered through yards every April. I'm talking about hidden objects in plain sight, adult innuendos in children's movies, and reading between the lines to get subtle messages. Just like how you will find PIXAR Characters hidden in various other PIXAR movies, I love it when I'm reading a book and suddenly I realize there is something more there. A deeper meaning hidden between the lines with only context clues hinting to subtle messages. My absolute favorite is when I reread a book for the umpteenth time and catch something I didn't catch the other times I read the book. This makes me feel like im reading the book for the first time all over again, because it connects extra dots and puts everything into an even better brighter newer light. These books are my favorite and I feel like I connect to the authors that write like this on a whole different level. As a reader, when I can read a book over and over again and get a new message each time makes me feel like a better person. If i can read between the lines of a book, why can't I read between the lines of a person? Each time I met someone I try to learn something new and great about them. If we all did this - Read between the lines of line - the world would be a better brighter place.

As a writer, my goal is to provide my reader's an escape through paper. I also hope that my readers are able to read between the lines and relate my character's struggles and triumph's to their own lives. Nothing would bring me greater joy than to be able to connect to my readers on a deep and profound level through my characters and give them some level of peace or escape from their daily struggles no matter how brief.
